Senior Technical Officer

The Biosciences Central Research Facility (CWB) (“BioCRF(CWB)”) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is a core facility to provide cutting edge technologies in biological research. We are currently seeking candidates with relevant experience in one of the following core areas:

Flow cytometry core
High content screening core
Mass spectrometry core
Microscopy core
Next-generation sequencing core
Tissue culture core
Bioinformatics core

In addition to providing instrument training to the University users, candidates who are skilled in automation and/or big data analysis is preferred, in order to enhance the facility's position in providing contract research services to other educational institutes and business sectors. In addition to supporting current services, the successful candidate is also expected to keep pace with technological innovation and provide technical assistance in the area(s) above.

Applicants should possess a master’s or higher degree in biological science, bioinformatics, chemistry, computer sciences, or relevant disciplines, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in the area(s) above. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
